In an effort to “Unite” the 3 club priorities of; developmental programs, recreational leagues and the travel program CUFC has created a new logo that coincides with our new direction and initiatives. “The club board, staff and many of our membership felt it was the right time to enhance our look and create a logo that ties all of our core programs together. Our current logo has served us well for 5+ years but we feel the Chesterfield United membership deserved a new professional look that is consistent with our direction.” Says Club President, Kevin Blake, “We continue to implement new and exciting changes for our club. A primary request from our membership was improved communications from the organization. To assist in this effort we have created a new, more efficient website. The Board and staff hope that our entire membership will share in this exciting new look as we continue to grow our club.”
The navy blue, white and black in the CUSC logo will remain and the royal blue represented on other CUSC coaches and player gear has become part of the logo as well. The ball has taken on a different look and location and stars have been added to represent the 3 core programs. “The biggest and most important change is we want to “Unite” our core programs and portray a very professional image and look at all times. The logo has turned out great and I think our membership is excited to see it and eventually wear it around!” says Technical Director Kevin Darcy.
To distinguish ourselves from Chesapeake United Soccer Club, who is also CUSC, the club has decided to implement a subtle name change to CUFC, Chesterfield United Football Club. “It has been a bit confusing at times with our teams and theirs as to who is CUSC. With the new logo we felt it made sense, at this time, to help distinguish ourselves and simplify things for everyone.” Kevin Darcy
At 12:00 noon on Thursday May 1st, Chesterfield United launched its new logo and will unveil the website shortly there after. The website will bring a new look to the club but will remain at the same address of www.chesterfieldunited.com.
